Founded in 1997, the Método MP teaching methodology was developed by dancer Marcus Prado, initially to train dancers of Samba de Gafieira. Since then, Método MP has expanded to coaching primarily in Samba no pé. Now Método MP teaches individuals and groups in São Paulo as well as traveling to other parts of Brazil and internationally to spread their popular method. They are involved in samba events, opening, parties, concerts, Television broadcasts amongst many other occasions.
The Método MP teaching team includes Marcus Prado, Victor Allonzo, Mary Prado, and Edu Santos. Método MP teaches all those who wish to dance samba, from young children who can’t yet speak properly to elderly people, regardless of background, ability, ethnicity, religion, height, or weight….. because samba is FOR EVERYONE.
